Heather Porter

I have been a part of the federation team since February 2021. At the end of last year, I was appointed as the Network Manager for the Halliwell PCN having previously been the Deputy Network Manager. Having taken on the role part way through the year, I look forward to the year ahead by continually working closely with our practice teams and ARRS workforce to ensure we support our patient population.

The last six months have been busy working towards our targets as well as recruiting into our ARRS workforce and ensuring they settle into their new role.

As the federation hosts the Greater Manchester Training Hub, our ARRS team has been able to access opportunities to upskill and develop in their clinical roles. As our workforce continues to grow, and additional roles come to join the network we are continually reviewing the way we work together to ensure we meet the requirements of our contracts.

The focus for the year ahead will be capacity and access and how we can work together to improve our patient’s overall experience.

The federation is a supportive employer that provides endless opportunities to develop and grow within your role. I look forward to what the next year brings!
