Dr George Ogden trained at Birmingham University, after graduating and completing some initial training he joined the Royal Navy in 1990. On leaving the Navy he joined Kearsley Medical Centre where he is still a partner. He has responsibility for staff and clinically is interested in End of Life care and Respiratory Medicine. He is a trainer and before becoming Chair of the GP federation was Chair of Bolton LMC.
He has a long interest in integration and has lead practice projects with extended role nurses in the community and care homes. He was an active practice based commissioner and worked as a clinical lead for urgent care, he believes integrated services deliver best for patients and are rewarding to work in.
He has been active in Manchester Devolution and represents GPs on both GP advisory group and wider primary Care advisory group.
